no - their tax money goes to their own parliament to distribute. They are independent so govern themselves, raise their own taxes, and beat us at sporting events (sometimes !!!!!)

so ockers pay their taxes to their own government, not ours. it's entirely its own country.

Actually, I thought that recent opinion polls had a majority in favour of retaining the monarchy. Although the republicans are more vocal they've always struggled to get majority support.

That was a 'political' vote...IIRC 75% dont want her, they just didnt want the specific terms that were being proposed by the "abolish it" side in the referendum, preferring to wait for a more 'thought-out' strategy

yeah but it never belonged to britain neither did australia though but coz australia has a majority of people from european origin specially britain why would they be ungrateful to their own ancestral country britain and its coz of britain their living their and basically given to them
