Angry o2 not impressed advice needed

Basically went to getan upgrade and actually got the phone I was after with a free headset. Waited two weeks new contract comes through......no fone. Decide after two weeks that enough is enough phone them up and find that the fone they offered was discontinued a few days ago [though mine should have arrived before then so why it affects me I don't know] and was not available. The other fones suggested were not what I wanted or with a free headset. Suitably pee'd off.

Now to the question if I go to another Network can I take my number with me or is it exclusive to o2.

Absolutely not - you can transfer your number to whoever.

Might I suggest that you go into a BUSY shop and request your PAC from the assistant?

I did this because Carphonewarehouse refused to let me have a V3 for £50, as I could get for new contract on O2 (who are the bloody network I am on!) So I walked into O2, confirmed I could get the number kept if I got the PAC and walked straight over the road (at Reading I was on a course) and asked for my PAC as I wanted to cancel my contract because CPW wouldn't sell me the phone I wanted.

It took all of 30 seconds for them to change their mind. Be serious tho' and go in ready to move to another provider.

Dont go to a shop if you can help it...get through to cancellations at O2- they can give MUCH better deals

Did this last week for the Mrs - her O2 tariff came down from £20pm for 200 xnet mins...was offered £14pm for same phone and tariff from upgrades, then went to Dosconnections (ie "get your PAC" code on phone options), and was offered £6.66pm and 500 xnet mins and 200txts to stay with O2
Give it a go - it wont hurt

Cheers Kieran

Just phoned up for me PAC No, for both fones, no problems. Fone up customer complaints and give their my sob story, end up getting a stoned Manc on the other end of the fone.

Goes like this:

Me "Been with you ten years with two fones and think I've been treated poorly"

Him "Yeah"

Me "That's alot of cash I've parted with"

Him "Yeah"

Me " Well I'll take my custom else where, this is not good service"

Him "Yeah, not good is it" WTF

Me "Your really just a shoulder to cry on aren't you"

HIM "Yeah"

Me "Bye"

Him [no word of a lie though the above is abbreviated] "Yeah" Click

Not getting another penny from me w*nkers
