Ebay prat.
People who put these sorts of ads on for there cars really annoy me. I hope someone doesn't read his ad, bids a fiver and wins - then leaves him negative feedback.

Have to agree. Came across one very similar earlier, considered bidding 1p and giving negative feedback, as suggested.
Is it not against their policies?

We could all chip in and bid a few quid................ Then the winner play the legal game with ebay and get him a strike.
That'd be childish though...............

He doesn't want anyone to bid - the whole point of an auction. He wants to just sell it for a fixed fee but lists it as a 99p start bid. He wants to sell it off auction which means no fees for him and a misleading ad.

I was going to do this with my car. I'm pretty sure that ebay allow you to end an auction and either cancel all bids or sell to the highest bidder.
I presume it's ok to say start it at £11,995 with a 'buy now' at £11,999 and then invite people to make offers offline if they want? After all it'd be advertised elsewhere anyway?

But they can't stop it or prove you've sold it off ebay if you list it as 'advertised elsewhere'.
They're just trying to grab as much cash as they can.

He didnt do all that to car, me and a mate did. It is pretty accurate. He has missed a lot off and it didnt cost in excess of £25k to rebuild to this condition, it was about £16-18k.
Plus, he doesnt have all the receipts, i do. ....idiot didnt want them because the labour wokr was done by me and a mate and he said they were worthless. He turned up and handed over less cash than i asked for, but lied about the amount he gave me. Conveiniently (sp?) he had the spare on him....wa**er.
