I would like to know how US tall people get on behind the wheel with the not very much leg room especially in a Scoob.
I'm 6ft 4" and i drive an astra hatch (mk3) and i have the seat (changed for a GSi cav one) as far as it will go back and tilt the back a little, but i am still cramped and sometimes do get cramp, so have to stop and walk/streatchh me long legs.
What i would like to do, when i get my Impreza in the not to distance future is have it set up like a WRC is...

...So basicially have the controlls come to me, not the other way around. So id have my legs straight with a slight bend and the knee and have the steering wheel and pedals brought to me.
How do you cope? what have you done to make your self more comfortable behind the wheel.
Cheers
Darren

I'm 6ft 6 and have pretty much given up on being comfy in cars. My legs are always splayed around the steering wheel and do have to jump out at times to loosen up a bit. However, Impreza's (and my old Legacy Turbo) weren't the worst cars to drive in terms of comfort - so you should be OK.
You may have some trouble going around corners quickly as I used to bash my head on the roof/door line - but it's a small price to pay!

im (only) 6ft 2 and am fine in my scoob.....The sti seats in mine have two adjuster wheels on the seat base to change the pitch and height of it so you can see what's best for you...you can then also change the normal distance forward / back and the backrest forward / back
Have no problems whatsoever....

OK guys.
I have sat in my dads 03 WRX and adjusted the seat and there does not to be much room, legs are still bent double (115 deg ish) i would rather it me more like 150 deg ish.

I'm 6'3 as well and never had any issues with the scoob (classic), even my dad who is 6'7 could drive the scoob without too much hassle. He drives a beemer though and his seats are more like reclining arm chairs with acres of leg room and head room so if you want space then BMW/Mercedes etc are the way to go.

Eh? I'm 6' 5" and I've got loads of room in my UK MY97.
Head nowhere near the roof and I have the seat a few clicks forward from full extension. But then my body is in proportion - you lot sound like a bunch of lanky freaks![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Only joking
I guess I've just got used to it, or maybe I have a weird driving position??

I have a very upright seat position, almost like that pic. My knees when relaxed are on the side of central console. I sit that close to the wheel that I can operate the snooper at the bottom of the windscreen, without my back leaving the back of the seat.

1. You will fit easy in a scoob (i'm 6ft6 and was fine)
2. You wont be able to set up the car like a 5ft racing driver does anymore than colin mcrae could beat me with a little one on one under the hoops

Used to work with a guy who we all referred to as "The Tallest Man In the World" - must have been 6'8 - 6'10
He drove a Yellow Fiat Cinqucento - It was very funny watching him get in/out of it
.
Main difference was he wasn't a fat b@stard so bending his knees didn't hurt him like the rest of us

Seriously, are your legs too long for your body?
I am slightly on the lardy side (22 stone) and I can reach the steering wheel with the seat right back just fine.
