Keeping young teenagers happy?

Keeping young teenagers happy?
Anyone got any suggestions about keeping young teenage siblings happy?
The only criteria i would set is that it has to be inexpensive (well relatively) and not the cinema or bowling etc etc (been done to death)
Any ideas

Hi Steve
They have those but the aim is to get them off of msn and PS2 and interact with life forms in real life. Its so difficult to motivate them into doing anything. Why do i feel as if i could tap in to the teenage Psychy i would be a millionaire

Yes. Less expensive. Although I haven't seen a game where you can cut cocaine and snort it?

Do you share an interest in a particular sport or hobby?
You could quite easily take them to the park for a kick around, take them fishing, to play tennis, etc.

G-Star, done the sport things and yes great fun but it would seem the attention span of a teenager doesnt stretch to over an hour or two
The most successful (none standard) day out was paint balling but the cost is prohibitive as an every weekend activity

Get them enrolled in some dodgy religious cult like church of england and they will have bible classes and other lies instilled into them from a young age and you can then put the fear of gods wrath into them everytime they misbehave or talk back.

ok serious suggestion now. Paintballing?
How about taking them too the football on a saturday afternoon? nothing fancy like Manchester Utd. the local club like in my case Grantham Town, nice and cheap, it'll get them interested in something (possibly) ? Ice skating? As someone else suggested get some music lessons, a guitar/organ/keyboard/piano? not too expensive and will keep them amused for a while if theyre into it?
Get them a dog? they can take it for walks

I'm dropping my teenager off at university this weekend, so not got to worry about that one for the next three years (unless she gets into guns and drugs in which case I will be picking her up from university next weekend).
The other one is pretty good, another girl, at college during the day and cook in a pub at night, I want to know how to keep the misses off me back, the kids are ok.

Please don't get them a dog - great for a month or two, then you look after it for the next 12 years
