Settle to Hawes over Ribblesdale

Buttertubs Pass

Kirkstone Pass

Hardknott Pass

Wrynose Pass

Cat And Fiddle

Malton to Pickering over Filingdales

Balach na bha

Strines Moor

Snake Pass

Driven all except Balach, and I think Ribblesdale has to be my current favourite. Clarkson lists the Buttertubs as one of his favourites in the world and Balach was once voted the best driving road in the British Isles by readers of Auto Express.

Malton to Pickering over Filingdales
The A169 Malton to Pickering's a nasty road with many accidents. Not one for fun or decent speeds. I think you meant Pickering to Sleights.

Cheers

Hardknott pass is scary! I still haven't had the courage to drive it yet and i have been driving 8 years (maybe i'm just a wimp, but I once witnessed my dad wheel spinning trying to get up the hill in winter!).

Little room for error on Hardknott Lots of lovely solid rocks 1" to the edge of the road and a nice uneven, slippery, broken surface. Extremely narrow, so little/no chance to overtake, so you just have to intimidate the flat cap Rover drivers out of the way The hill where your Dad was spinning I go up drifting through the 3-4 hairpins A good experience, but ultimately unsatisfying in something like a Scoob which needs room to breathe, just too tight for any serious speed, but if you're in the area it's a must drive

this may sound sad but I prefer your girlf's car!
(despite owning a scoob!) I think it's because a golf Carrado was the first car I wanted to own!

I'll sell you it if you want As much as I loved the C for many years and appreciated its handling and beautiful styling (I still look at her fondly now) there is simply no comparison between it and the Scoob when it comes to performance (grip, handling, power, delivery, ride, control). Only yesterday I described the comparison on a Corrado website that switching between the 2 was like stepping out of a Ferarri F430 into a Model T Ford. I still say Scoobs are ugly (flame suit on) and if driving was about how a car looked then there are many I would have long before an Impreza, including my lovely C, but I drive cars, hard and fast, so looks have to be compromised to get the ultimate machine in my budget and the Scoob is just that.

I hope it sells easier than the Scoob Mint condition, well maintained, excellent mods and priced sensibly, and I've had one potential buyer in 6 months, and he lost his job before he could place a deposit

Any empty backroad in inland Spain - plenty of them. Just need to ship over the NSX to take full advantage of them
