nope thats why i'm asking for advice, unfamiliar with liverpool, was hopeing one of the locals might be able help. is there no companys that store your car and drop you off at the airport by minibus, used some in newcastle and manchester just wondered if there was such a thing there?

i personally wouldn't take it mate,
pay a mate to take you there and pick you up

Your problem is that all the locals will leave their cars at home and get a taxi or a mate to drop them off rather than pay for storage, but as above, I wouldn't leave any decent car in Speke.

dazza thats what ive been thinking, getting to the airport is'nt a problem, as the outward flights are in the afternoon so a train down will be ok, the return fights are late evening about 11 o'clock and no trains so i will prob pay a mate to pick me up, prob work out cheaper than taking the car anyway

Liverpool airport is not cheap for parking. I paid £16.90 for my (work) day trip to Belfast today, though it's a little cheaper for Long stay.
If you're in Carlisle, can you not get flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Newcastle instead?
Also, Liverpool Airport sucks, there is practically nothing to do while you are waiting.
