Voltage Converter for the USA ?
Off to Florida in about 3 weeks (assuming it's still there !), want to take a couple of appliances (camcorder, toothbrush etc) which will require recharging while I'm there,
Questions..
1.assume I need a voltage converter for kit which does not have 110/240 switch ?
2.does anyone know if I can buy one on the highstreet (and where from), ? or is it an Ebay job.

Some appliances (like laptop power supplies) can accept a wide range of voltages and frequencies without a transformer. Check the power requirements on the appliances, you may just need a 3 pin to 2 pin adapter, available at most electrical stores, ar(chav)gos etc...

Have a look on the plugtop or adaptor or the body of your appliances to see if they are dual voltage ie 110v/240v. If they are then you should be OK, just need a pin adaptor otherwise best/cheapest place can often be the duty free electrical store at the airport once you are checked in.
