EH???? they dont exactly give the word f*#king public airing though do they?
Personally quite like some of his stuff....
How long has it took you to notice this line in the song? knowing full well "your beautiful" has been out for along time now....
A thread about James Blunt saying a naughty word yet no sign of any of the rappers that get air'd every day 10 times over.

One swear word in an album and you're whingeing. If you listen to the broadcast version the word that offends you so much is taken out. Get a life.

flatcapdriver, it just shows a lack of education, like people who wear unleavened headgear.
oh, and i have quite a good life actually, just giving my point of view, if thats ok with you.

I suppose your a big fan of bodycount.....
"She s**** my d*** like a ***** f***** Vacuum"
JB album, by modern standards isn't that bad. Certianly better than alot of artists of late (coldplay, Oasis, Gwen Stefani etc etc all absolutely dire )......but that doesn't mean much...."very average" would be my Q rating

Have you heard his lyrics for "beautiful"
Basically he see's some bird on the subway with her boyfriend, and she gives him a smile, so he becomes obsessed with her.....
Then he says he won't lose any sleep cos he's got a "plan"
Then in a few lines time, he says "he doesn't know what to do" - I thought you had a "plan" ********.
He's just putting random stuff together.
Winds me right up

I have to agree on listening to the album that the language was so unnecessary. It even sounded stupid.
I guess that's because the 'aired' version that you get used to on that particular single didn't contain it.

Don't buy the album - My Wife did - It's F***ing **** !
High would be the stand out track IMHO
Bit lame......but knocks bits off the lastest offering from Coldplay etc....
...however, if it's a good 'acoustic singer songwriter style' kind of thing you are after then look to the southern hemisphere and go for someone like
Jack Johnson
Donovan Frankenreiter
Jason Mraz
Alex Lloyd
Ben Harper
John Butler Trio
Closer to home, I'd say Stephen Fretwell or Tom McRae are worth a listen (if a bit zzzzZZZZzzzzZZZzzzz.... but nice for the quieter moments)
Then again ... there might just be a swear word somewhere in one of the above artists work..... so you better not bother

I unfortunately bought it for my lady, after hearding it briefly on someone elses stereo. Its a CD that doesn't grow on you, it does the opposite. I like a couple of the tunes, but the rest are too similar.
His voice does start to get on your t1ts after a while too. It's like he's trying to force a distinctive sound rather than it come naturally.

I actually quite liked it, i feel his music takes me from my high to a deep depression within a few songs.
I wonder if i jumped off the same cliff as he did i would survive ??

Catchy, melodic, easy voice to listen to. You can see the appeal however, some lyrics of current songs are ploppy pants especially fcukin OASIS . If you want well thought out lyric content, not nicey nicey songs grab a Kanye West album. He spits the truth for sure (quote probably)

James Blunt album is superb IMO.
Would be a crap world if we all liked the same music, not many people are keen on my daily choice from the likes of Hixxy, Brisk, Scott Brown, VAGABOND et al, but its my choice
