Why do people pick up their kids in these huge SUVs, when they only live up the road People in my area who only live say 7-8 houses from me, come down the road in their cars just to park it up and then end up walking the rest of the way to the school!! The worst thing is, most of the ******* park in front of MY house and usually end up blocking most of the road

If enough people repeat the same line often enough, it becomes "the truth". Doesn't always mean it's true, though.
For all you lot know, the Hummer driver may have been on their way to Basra to round up insurgents after they'd dropped the kids off

Secondly, it must have been your inane ramblings that made me lose all interest in any point you were trying to make.
Ironically, I lived opposite a High school for approx 7 years and I had problems with people parking in daft places however I stayed on a road with very few parking restrictions and understood that the parents prefered to collect the kids in their cars.
If it causes you sooo much distress and is such a problem then surely the council would act accordingly. Alternatively, move.
For the record...one of my cars is indeed a 4x4 and I love it.

Move you say? That's easy for you to say. I moved here a year ago. Plus, I have my own business so I can't move again.

Ahh, so that's why you think it's okay for 4x4 drivers to come and pick-up their kids when they only live up the road. Assuming they have road tax and insurance, I guess that pretty much answers my question - not!

As for it being okay for 4x4 drivers to go and pick-up their kids when they only live up the road. If they are law abiding citizens then I see no probs with it. Afterall if the kids had to walk past your house on their way home...well, you never know
