Well, why not? And play nice people, no "stabbing teachers to death"-type answers...
Fly away to foreign countries for holidays once, twice, or even more, every year.
Listen to amazing amounts of music on headphones without having to spend an absolute fortune in batteries for the walkman.
Flick through 30+, or 50+, or 100+ TV channels while "bored".
Complain about the poor quality of video game graphics
I'm trying to think of the experiences that my son has had that I never had.

Never having to actually go out to a shop to buy anything if they don't want to.
Not owning any actual CDs - just downloading everything.

Didnt have to get up at 6am in the morning for a paper round to earn their £10 a week pocket money still annoys me to this day that I had to get a paper round if I wanted money. My brother is 16, earning £300+ a month doing a few shifts at ASDA whilst doing 6th form at school and parents still give him £3 a day dinner money WTF

Having his own 28" Widescreen TV with 5:1 Surround Sound, DVD Player, PS2 & XBox
My first TV was a 14" Colour that I got when I was 14
Oh yeah, and he's got a better specced PC than us, I think I'm gonna go and get a part time job at Tesco

Get a lift to school in mummy or daddy's car.
Get parents to help them with their homework. If I did the same when I was a nipper, the answer would be: "It's not my bloody homework!"

Things my 14 year old daughter gets that I didn't. Gosh, where to start...
Get parental support for racing motorbikes
Mobile phone
MSN (and a PC and all the other technology)
Help with homework (I'm the scientist/writer, her mother the linguist/artist). Why not if we can get it through to her better than her teachers?
Drugs education at school (and the need for it)
Parents worrying if not back at an agreed time - My childhood was in the countryside and in a safer (or seen as safer) environment as a result
There's loads of stuff. But lets face it, children today really are different to us. They grow up faster, embrace technolgy better and become their own people younger. Probably down to our attitudes toward the things that bugged us when we were growing up.
I think it's great

My kids (and me of course!) celebrate Chistmas that I never did when I was young.Well, I was in India then!
The amount of money kids get these days from all the family on birthdays and Christmas etc is unreal! I was never given that much cash on festive occasions! Gift culture for childeren has changed. It has gone more cash oriented.I think younger kids are easy pleased with toys etc but older they get, they demand cash on such occasions.I think it is good because it gives children a chance to get what they want with that money but when people think of giving money to a child, fiver doesn't mean **** all as,life is so expensive now.Everyone ends up giving enough and they end up with loadsa money.jammy sods!
