How to sell a house at auction? Anyone done it?
I have a empty house that I need to sell and have thought about auctioning it anyone done it? What are the costs and fees involved.
The house is empty and needs basic modernisation such as new kitchen new windows, garden doing etc etc There is even a possibiltie of putting a loft extension in (loft is huge and is easily as high as a regular room.
I have had one sale fall through and the other people that have come to look at it seem to be the DIY type people (who have seen that program on channel 4 about doing up a house and selling for a profit) and want to just be able to sell the house for a 30k to 50 k more than they have paid from me but they only want to paint the walls and cut the grass!
The price seems right compared to others on the market (in fact mine is cheaper by about 10k), I am now on my second agent but still no luck! I really want to get this sold and out the way so maybe its time to try an auction?
