Only set it up Monday night, and moved the fish from my old tank to the new one

Its a Juwel Rio 180

thats sexy as ****. how big is it? my mate has a 12x3x3 foot one mouned in the wall in his living above his plasma tv. looks the biz. took some putting up. has to reinforce floor and build a steel frame for it. company who installed the tank used a silicone which took 2 weeks to set. its a beast. he has 2000 neons in so far and you can hardly see them. awesome tho. only 2 grand!!!

Its approx 101x41x50cm 180 Litres so not too big but big enough

The Tank has been cycled (sort of) I used half the water from the old tank, all the orginal plants and stones, and the two filters that were in my other tank, are running alongside the new built in filter, to help with the bacteria migration/build up

I moved the fish in over two days, and tested all the water levels and they are all fine

I moved some of the new water into the old tank before moving the fish to help acclimatise them.

Looks good.

I have a Juwel Rio 240 and a Juwel Trigon 190

Here's a couple of poor quality pics.

Two of the loaches in the Rio will be twenty years old come February.

Cheers

Look nice Lee

I see you have gone for sand, I was going to go with sand, mainly cos of the Polka Dot Loaches, who love to bury themselves, although they have been having fun in the gravel

Loaches look good, and a nice size too

cool Im after a corner tank, gonna cost a bit to set up though, wouldnt mind some Oscars in it....

mate had a nice tank, good set up and some good fish in there, he added one of these about 2 months ago

http://www.aquamojo.com/snakehead/snakehead2.JPG

unfortunately the only fish left now are 1 little shark (the big 1 dissapeared ) a huge fish which we''re expecting to see its stomach missing and 2 angel fish which I suspect hes been unable to catch... ohh theres a roach in there too, but thats in after about 15 fish was in there... its a right nasty piece of work, hes on about just putting 3 of these snake heads in the tank now and taking the other fish back...

Tiggs, is that a 350? if so how did you manage the plant growth ?
I had a Panarama 200 and had great plants but the Trigon had me stuck ! I dont think the light was penetrating the depth of the water ?
Pana.

Trigon

but it didnt stay like that for long

I can't even keep plants healthy in the Trigon 190 the lighting is very poor compared with the Rio's.

My Dad bought a tank for me on my 17th Birthday and I'll be 37 at the end of January. I bought four loaches a few weeks later.

I had all four until my old Aqua-Reef tank failed a couple of years ago, that setup had it's own filtration system that used Nitrate fluid and an osmotic bag to remove ammonia. The tank was getting old and the bag split and let the nitrate solution into the water.
My wife rang me at work and said a lot of the fish were dead and the loaches were very distressed. I left work straight away but by the time I got home one was dead and another died later.
