I thought that the whole problem was that you were not beating about the bush, and were having to use your hand
On a more serious note, you should do what you feel you want to.

You were only with her for a year.......
Get out and get with it.
I take it you went headlong into it with your ex and lost touch or the respect of the good drinking mates you had previously?
Or, you could have been a geek before her and had no friends - in which case you're back to square one, but a year older and still friendless??

2. How'd you get the lady you've just split up with then, if you're SO ugly?
Try the same tactics again, mebbe?
3. Just how ugly ARE you?

Well, if you didn't have friends before, you've not lost anything other than a year of your life. 'Kin much less than most!
I can't give you many (or any!) tips on making friends as it's a thing that happens naturally and can't be forced. Your job usually helps with making friends??
As for being ugly............... It's in the eye of the beholder. I know ugly blokes who have no trouble with women, although they are ugly women (usually). Confidence and getting out there are what's needed.

Take up boxing, or if that's too much join a gym and get your body in shape - your mind and confidence always follow.

For the average woman though, an honest, dependable personality, along with a decent sense of humour is what counts at the end of the day & a good-looking ar$ehole will always be an ar$ehole!
Why stay in the house anyway OPM, you've still got your scooby, haven't you?
Blimey, don't give up yet mate! Get out there, drive, swim, whatever, you certainly won't meet anyone sat alone in your house, drinking vodka & moping!

True.
Still do, but a different one.
The gym thing is the best tip I can give. I don't know your age but getting fit makes you feel 100% better about yourself and gives you confidence.
You have what you have, so make the best of it. With a bit of effort comes a load of extra confidence.

Never works out, so they (usually) move onto a lesser ar$ehole eventually!
(Unless they're one of these poor sad cows with a personality type classed as 'doormat'!)
