When i was burgled it took 2+ hours for them to respond.
Again, nice to see the priorities are being maintained.
I bet it is back and scamming in no time at all.

Picked out the relevant bits:
According to the Home Office Northants Police did not fare so well recently.
Quote
“Humberside and Northamptonshire were poor at cutting crime”
And
“The Metropolitan Police, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire were poor at promoting safety, which includes dealing with anti-social behaviour and road traffic safety. “
And finally
“Bedfordshire, Humberside, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire were poor at local policing.”
End Quote
I am not having a go at the rank and file Police, far from it. This is much more to do with the government policies and the top cops who seem more focussed on their careers that the real problems.
Speeding is a problem but try to get some perspective. There are much worse things going on in Northants!
A criminal shame that this is the case.

More of the same plz Mr Arsonist!!
Seriously tho - setting fire is not a good idea. They should use other methods to destroy it. If ever they get caught arson is looked on VERY dimly by courts, so you can imagine what happens if it's arson on a speed cam - 7 yrs or something.

The specs are the ones I hate most, everyday I have to crawl along a dual carriageway seeing a long empty stretch ahead of me
It makes me want to do something naughty.

I accept the specs or a camera where there are many turnings and people needing to move across the dual carriageway from the other side (but that is the section without specs). On the 'safe' stretch the specs should go.
We have so many cameras in stupid places.

Dont mind these things being near schools etc, but straight roads with no junctions etc

The police to have stats on where the cameras are positioned, that there have been a fair number of incidents.
I only know this as I have had to attend 2 "speeding workshops" due to being caught at 35mph twice.

If the arsonist had done his homework he'd have known that the easiest way to disable a Truvelo is to take a hammer and chisel to the two black contact strips on the road - once they're cut the things' f**ked.
