Default Tommy - The Who

After visiting the Rock and Roll hall of fame, and seeing there Tommy exhibition I feel I need to see the Movie/Musical.

Worth it, or strange, drug fuelled, 70's garbage?

It was released the first time i went to London, huge billboards advertising it,

i was only 11 at the time, and i wanted to see it..

i finally saw it when it was on tv,, glad i didnt it was a pile of poo, i was waiting for the spoken lines.. apart from wiked uncle ernie, and pinball wizard the rest of it was a 70,s drug and alcohol fuelled mishmash

After having heard the full version for years (including choirs & Londen Symphonic Orchestra), the movie was a major letdown.

So music wise, you'll want to hear this version: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...11356?v=glance

Had the film on DVD for a week or two, so started watching it last night after reading this... I think it's great so far!
