Default Phone Upgrade - which one?

OK Folks,

Phone upgrade time again.
I've been given the choice of these 4, which one would you recommend?

1. Nokia 6231i
2. Motorola V3
3. Sony K750i
4. Samsung D500

Currently got a K700i which is alright. Just plays up everynow and then. Other than that its fine and does the job.

Thanks,

Shaun

Tiggs will sell you a dirt-cheap D500 if you know how to assemble it.

I have had every one from the Samsung 500/600 to the Nokia 8800.
If you are into a PDA function you need a Palm TREO 650. Brilliant piece of kit.
Search it on google. You can get e-amils and attatchments etc all over the world.

I picked up a 6230i last week, buttons are a bit fiddly but other than that it's a nice phone. Especially like the loudspeaker.

I'm waiting for the Nokia 6270/80 to come out later in the year. Assume it will replace the 6230i? Appears have a better camera, which is fine by me.

i had the K700i. loved it, but it was too fat and the bloddy pause on menus was driving me mad. been a fan of SE for years as the T610 was perfect, but went back to moto and got the V3.

love this phone, yeah the menu/address book is pants, the ring tones are laughable and the screen gets too greasy from being next to your ear, but it is such a cool and enjoyable phone to use.. IMHO

Why not try the K750i then? People rave about it.

nokia 8800 for me. The buttons are a bit close if you have big hands but they are great phones and really well made. The camera isnt the best in the world mind but what are you after a camera or a phone

I've recently upgraded from a 6230 to a K750i (with 1Gb memory stick) and it's superb - 2.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and zoom, easy to use menus and a playlist editor for the MP3s. It also has a Microsoft Outlook style organiser which I think you can sync with Outlook on your PC. Also the software is a lot better than the Nokia software - you can just use the phone as a card reader without having to faff about. I bought a case for it as the large screen looks like it may scratch. The buttons are good and the whole thing seems to be a lot better put together than my 6230 which felt a bit cheap in comparison.

[edit] just noticed you had the Motorola V3 on your shortlist - I got one of these for one of the girls at work and didn't rate it much. The stainless steel keypad seemed distinctly non-tactile, and the camera is only VGA 640x480. I'm not really a fan of girly flip phones, and although it was thin it was quite wide so probably more suited to a girl's handbag than a bloke's pocket.
