Tag watch needs a refurb and new battery. Where would you recommend?
My trusty TagHeuerwatch has eventually come to the point where it needs a new battery after 10 years of ownership
I thought i might get it repolished etc as It has a few minor scratches etc after wearing it everyday since I was bought it.
The sapphire is still perfect but the metal could stand some TLC.
Can anyone recommend a reputable place to get it sorted?
Cheers

The engine is still perfect but the bodywork could stand some TLC.

Or as davyboy (and many others) would put it:
My car needs a new battery and a polish. Anyone know best place to get it done

To answer the original question i'd say Goldsmiths could easily change the battery for you. They are an authorised dealer and usually have one person on site who is well trained. As for the polish they would probably have to send it away. After 10 years they may recommend a service, thats up to you depending on cost and does it still keep good time.
cheers
Paul.

Send it to Duval in Manchester. Theyre the official agents for Tag Heuer in the UK and its where the watch will end up if you take it to any of the jewellers mentioned above.

Thanks for the advice
Apart from Davyboy of course. All I wanted was advice from the forum which I have been so impressed with so far on a fantastic number of different subjects.
The watch is nearly ten years old and needs more than a polish which is why I asked. I didn't realise I was trying to impress anyone. The watch cost about £400 as it was bought in Dubai by relatives on holiday.
Davyboy, I presume you are the kind of person who scratches cars because you perceive the owner to be better off than you even though they might not be. I presume you have a massive chip on both shoulders. I presume you are a halfwit.
You may not be any of these things but I find it ironic that on a forum which discusses cars worth thousands of pounds you take offence at someone trying to sort out an old watch.
So in conclusion...thanks to the forum for the excellent advice. Davyboy...I'd see a psychiatrist if I were you, you need help

Give TAG a ring on 01204 86 11 68 though I had my TAG battery changed and watch cleaned by a local watchmaker who as far as I'm concerned did a very good job of it.
