On Wednesday 23rd November, Congleton Advanced Motorists are having an evening with Peter Gordon, Cheshire's Road Safety Officer. The evening is titled "Speed, Signs and Cameras".
The Congleton Chronicle says "Following successful experiments in other parts of the country, members will be quizzing Peter Gordon, from Cheshire County Council, about whether removing lines, signs and traffic lights can actually make roads safer.
The group has also been collecting examples of outdated and misleading signs and inappropriate speed limits in the area."
It's at Astbury Village Hall at 7.30pm and is open to everyone. I assume that entry is free as there is no mention of an entrance fee.
Could be an interesting evening.
