As much as you want - you just need to satisfy them that it's for personal consumption. A few terminals now have "speed bumps" as you approach customs - if you're grounding out they know your car is overloaded...

dont advertise the fact that your on the booze run.

I came back from Calais this morning - yes it's as simple as that now. Word of warning - following the relaxing of the rules re the tobacco there has been an increase in theft from British cars. Normal rules apply - don't leave valuables (incl alcohol and tobacco) on display...

Cheers Guys

I'm not going on a booze run but to pick up some sample electronic goods - its an initial order and the box will take up half the boot space. It's 15 boxes of the same thing (consumer electronics approx value of 64Euro's). Got an invoice which will clearly show SAMPLE - do I need to bear anything else in mind? DOn't want to get stung for customs!!

Only advice I can give you is to remember it's a business trip and don't take the p*ss too much with respect to the booze and ciggies. I would imagine that you'd carry the can if the car was impounded, for example.

Main thing is to not go overboard on the ciggies or tobacco.

J.
