XMAS 80's style fancy dress ideas
Unfortunately I have got my works xmas party/holiday celebration in a couple of weeks.
As per the title it is fancy dress with an 80's theme. As i was born in the early eighties I spent much of them oblivious to anything else other than my child like world so as a result I am stuck for ideas on suitable dress.
Main criteria are:
Something that I can wear afterwards in some bars etc without looking like a complete nonce.
Will not require huge expenditure for something that may only be used once
Will allow me to look suitably cool without looking like a killjoy that hasn't made an effort.
Thanks guys and girls.......

oh, and either a pair of loafers with tassles or the "college" buckle. lol.
the farahs must be slightly worn in one knee, from a playground misdermeaner featuring a tennis ball, 20 mates and 4 jumpers.!!!

Farah trouser combo sounds like a good idea, don't want to look like I've just come dressed normally but I dress like a tool outside of work.
Are short trousers 80's??
Keep them comin

Get a suit jacket (the thinner and flashy the better) and roll up the sleeves. Thin bootlace tie (leather if possible - red) and a single coloured shirt. Wear the collar undone and the tie loose. Top it off with somedrainpipe slacks, white socks and slip-on shoes and you will be looking good!

Ridiculous hair: Mullets, big wings over the ears, enough gel to qualify for shares in Brylcream, loreal etc. Best done with a wig so you can ditch it or use it as a 'prop' for drunken silliness later.
