Question ACNE SPOT CREAMS ?

Not for me for my son 13... no paper bag gags please

Anybody used any new ones with good results tried the quinederm (sp) one wich used to be good but its not helping

if the acne is quite bad go see your gp and he will give him some stuff that will cure it properly. thats what i did when i was younger

you can also use toothpaste on spots to dry them up-honest

cheers its not so bad as to see a gp yet but his mum had to when she was younger

cheers toothpaste is great on one or two but not for covering all your face

T-Zone treatment stick works a treat for my son. Only applied to the spots, it means the rest of his face is not dried out

Seriously though, just try all the treatments one at a time for about two to three weeks each and see which works best. Some of the soaps aren't too bad, either.

be careful with quinoderm, it can really dry the skin.

roaccutane (sp?) is the top of the acne tree, prescription only and a 4 month course of treatment, this is a cure, not a treatment. Some cases (rare) require extended course.

Side effects are the usual dryness of skin, lips etc. Aviod sunny exposure (not a problem ATM obviously)

I've always got on well with Boots-own antibacterial soap bar since I was a teen. Removes nuff greasyness
