Our local garage has had two pumps blocked off for weeks - before Buncefield - in fact they've even changed from Shell to Jet so can't just be that. Probably just the time of year and they're using Buncefield as an excuse. There were garages open on Christmas Day with no problems.

Shell next to work only has diesel (no UL or optimax). However other stations still have everything (Esso and Morrisons) and price is still 85p/litre

Went to a Shell garage yesterday with all optimax pumps out of action 87p per litre, so had to go to BP, only put a tenner in, as its mapped for optimax, and it was 97p a litre!!!!

I have got 2 family members that work at Esso in Fawley, they told me a week before xmas that they were close to running out of feul, lowest it has been there for years.
They dont want the info getting out too quickly as if a panic hit, everyone would go and fill up and we would be outta feul in 1/2 day.
This way they should be able to get away with bare min, until there problems subside.
They said it was going to be released when feul was getting really low, so maybe it wont last much longer. I wont be queuing for feul id rather ring up work and say i havent got any so i could stay in bed.
;o)
