Wasting money on text messaging.....
Thought I'd share this on with you lot. I'm off out tonight for mate's b'day **** up. Misses is going to drop me off in town to meet up. One of the lads lives nearby so I've offered to pick him up to save him taxi fare. Here's the texts:-
HIM
Mark sez 8.30 in Yates. Do you fancy an earlier start Dude?
ME
I would do but I'm just leaving the misses' brother's house so I won't be ready very early. Shall we pick you up at 8pm?
HIM
Up 2 u mate? But let me know if u r
ME
My last txt contained an offer to pick you up. I shouldn't need to confirm. You owe me 12p! Will pick you up at 8pm!!
WTF.
This guy often gives daft answers. Some quite meaningless

I like to remind a mate of mine when he texts me "ok" as a whole message that that has cost him 6p a letter.
A quick short text can be handy but a whole conversation is too much, thats when you get a phone call from me
Edited : I wrote some of it in text speak <embarrassed>

The cheapest way i find is to actually ring whoever ,only let it ring once or twice then let human curiousity do the rest. When they phone you back just bluff something wrong with your phone and keep them talking.

I have a rule 3 Texts in the space of 5 mins and I'll ring them. What grips my poo is that if someone texts me soem important news and I try to phone them they won't answer but will text me back! Its not like there unavailable
However, Mobiles are ruining British Male society. Now we spend ages talking on them, making stupid non essential phonecalls like girls would! Before I had a phone I only ever used the phone to order things. (Inflatible Sex Dolls, obscure technical items. That kind of thing ) Its a disgrace, men are becoming far too in touch with their femine side.
