Unhappy Flying!!!

I'm going to Thailand with my missus at the beginning of February and I'm absolutley bricking it about the flying (second time ever in a plane). Has anyone approached their Doc for something to calm the old nervs and what were they given??? Is this something I should consider as I've never taken chill pills before.

pills will not overcome what you fear..

what is it you fear about flying???

if you do a fear of flying course, they will expose you to your worse fears, and make light of it...

statistically you stand more chance of being pegged in the scoob than of having an air accident

If you have such a fear, why did you book an overseas country???

and just to reasuure you, modern planes only subject the airframe to a third of capability...

you want to see the test pilots finding the limits..... now thats fun

we had a woman pilot on the way to luxembourg once,

she was a right throttle jockey

after our take off and enforced throttles back (noise regs) she whopped the throttles to the stops, and we belted it all the way...

and just to say " i told you so" she had the biggest smirk on her face when she said goodbye to all the departing (male) passengers,

there faces were a picture!!!
