Default Stupid woman smashed into my car!

Now i know its no impreza, but its still my pride and joy

Was on my way back from a mates house in Oldham at 2:30pm, I was driving down Ashton Road towards Ashton under lyne and there was a red Peugeot 206 coming towards me, she indicates to turn accross my path into a side street so i slow a little, the without warning she turn right infront of me

I braked and locked up, tried to turn and miss her but there was traffic coming the other way, so i just braced myself and bang, it was done
I hit her rear quarter and spun her round in the road, first thing i did was jump out and see if she was ok then noticed a young lad in the passenger seat, thank god i swerved and hit the rear quarter and not the passenger door. The AA have recovered the car and its on my drive.

She asked "why i hit her, i was indicating?" i mean WTF!

Her excuse to the police was i indicated and he hit me. Police thought she was a joke and said they would back me up as it was clear what happened.

Had a bump in my old car a while ago, which was repaired better than new But I was told that if the damage had been over 50% of the value of the car, I'd be looking at a write off , fortunatly it wasn't, although it was close.
Good luck with the claim, mine is still ongoing, after 3 months! Hope they pay out in the end.
Chris.

ps, with the proceeds if they do write it off, you could get a scoob, and come join us for a play

Thats **** man.

When I had a bump(!) with a tree on a very windy day, I thought they would write off my pug 306 - The cost for reapirs came to nearly 4k - no way in the world the car was worth 8k though. Still they repaired.

Oh, the repair was **** poor and and I ended up changing the car for my Scooby!!) So insist on a decent place not one starting with A and ending DR in Rotherham (sorry mods!)

I really do feel drained today, i have produced my docs at the local police station, all was OK

I have literally called churchill insurance 13 times today, all of which was to correct the **** up on there database Basically there not going to help me because they say i don't have legal protection! i was 110% sure i did, so i ripped the house apart today to find the documents, guess what, i do have legal protection for upto 50 grand

So i call the again to tell them i do have protection and its there mistake, they ask me to fax them a copy and they will back date it and help me out. I faxed them at 1:30pm having been promised a return call at 2:00pm yeah right!

I have just called them back at 6:30pm explaining how unhappy i was with the service to be told they cant find the fax (how convenient) and they will call me tomorrow

I dont use insurance legal cover.
If it is a non fault accident then HelpHire are great.
My uncle has a bodyshop and puts jobs through them. The wife's car has been hit twice in 2 weeks and is going in next week to get done.
