PSLewis debated this one earlier today..

I'm surprised PSLewis is so sceptical. Old people normally feel the cold in their bones..

Theoretically, You cant ever reach the absolute zero of temperature, ie -273. to do so would imply the absence of energy, ie temperature being a indirect measure of heat (which is a form of energy)
In theory you cant have state of no energy, and so, therefore, the absolute zero in temperature cant be reached.
thats my two pence worth.

What about the difference btwn potential and kinetic energy? Surely you'd lose kinetic but have potential?
(I got a B in O'level physics 20 yrs ago, I claim nowt more)
Back on topic - my boss has to go to Moscow next week. I'm furious, I want to go too

No no Poor Guy,
PSL has already started a thread about the Summery/Spring time weather that we are having and shouting the weather forecasters down for saying we might have a hard winter.
We musn't say opposite to him or he will start his nasty insults all over again!
He might even accuse you of trolling-and he is an expert at detecting that sort of thing, same as being a weather expert of course!
