Obviously sit there, but is there any system where the film has "digital markers" that trigger your dvd recorder?

Videoplus should do this, and it looks for the start and end markers...
but and theres always one....
the tv companys are under no obligation to transmit the markers, and guess what..
yup they dont often transmit them...
nothing like helping people eh

PDC stands for Programme Delivery Control, which is supposed to do exactly what you want; you set the recorder for the exact scheduled start/finish time of the programme, and instead it actually looks out for the markers.
Unfortunately, if you set PDC on and the markers aren't transmitted, it won't record at all.
