Well after nearly 15 years working for the same firm job I'm switching the office lights off for the last time today. Made redundant due to cut backs. No more browsing SN all day. Suppose I'll have to get a real job now.
Dont know whether to laugh or cry

RIP, how much notice were you given???
once you are served with notice of redundancy your firm is obliged to allow you reasonable time (with pay) to finds another job....
I got 3 months last time.... this time i got nada as it was immidiate, but an enhanced package (only 2 months though)
get of SN and get registering with Job sites![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I've actively tried to get myself made redundant on a few occasions and failed miserably because from the experience several friends have had, redundancy acts as a catalyst from which they've gone on to bigger and better things.
It seems to have some 'pushing' affect which we sometimes need.
