Default Train Tickets

Need to go to Egham from Swindon tomorrow, nice and easy change at Reading onto London Waterloo train. However, in the afternoon I need to go to London, then return home via Paddington direct to Swindon.

Will I need to buy 3 single tickets to cover journey or is there some other method.

Tried calling First Great Western but Anna who sounded suspiciously Indian didn't have a clue what I wanted to do.
