Question MOT Duplicates?

I'm about to retax my car and I can't find the MOT which is about 6 months old. Is it possible to get a duplicate or do I have to get the car re-tested (which would be an expensive PITA as I have a decat...).

Lots of things have gone missing around our house lately, like multiple TV controls, glasses, for instance. Might be something to do with our two rug rats (15mths and 32 mths) now enjoying the game of binning anything they find that isn't nailed down, which means that if you don't search every single bin before it goes out stuff goes walkies

Ta

PS i did try search but....

Speak to the garage that last MOT'd the car, usually about £10 for a duplicate.

Top Man Dave. Had tried them already but continously engaged - I'll get over there.

I'll take my "kids for sale" ad off ebay now then as well.

They have to supply as many copies as needed by Law. They also have to keep them for 6 years i think.

It would help if you can tell the MOT Centre the date you had the Test done, (or as roughly as you can remember). Not sure if you will get one of the new Test certificates now though or not... Unless your centre hasn't moved over to the new scheme yet.

If you can remember the name of the garage that performed the test, they will be able to provide a duplicate for approx £5

if you cant then your in the mire,,,,,

unless it was a new computerised one, then you can get it online....

just been through this scenario last night.......

i remembered that the mot was due around now, but as usual couldnt find the docs....

(sheepish mode on)

Tried the wife's files first (she's a lawyer, so is ferociously organised) but she let me down

I know the garage and I'm pretty sure of the date so it shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers
