Default DVD recorder Q - which one to buy?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a DVD Recorder, please?

ideally one that can link directly into my Sky+ box.

Thanks

btw... I don't need one with an internal HDD, as I intend to use the SKY+ box for that. This is for streaming the media from the SKY+ onto DVD - the stuff I want to keep

I got a Panasonic DMR ES10 for exactly the same situation.

I bought a version that had been modded to be multi-region. Can't remember where I got it from, but you can get it for £140 from Richer Sounds amongst others.

I have the Panasonic DMR-ES10 too. It's very well featured, seems reliable and compatibility with other DVD players is good. On a high-end system you'll see that its picture and sound quality aren't all that good, though.

As a VCR replacement I'd say it's great - but it's not a good front-end for a quality home cinema system.

I think that Panasonic is the one that Tesco's were selling off very cheap a week or so back (£110 or £120 I think) - worth checking anyway.

I got a Sony recorder free with a recent TV purchase which I didnt think I would keep but its fantastic. Never thought I would need a recorder but it is very handy.

Have Sky+ too and it records from that no problem. The shop price was £199 and it plays all DVD formats, has progressive scan, component out and I have found a multi region unlock that worked a treat.

Now selling my 1 year old Sony DVD Player.
