sold a book on amazon, sent it by recorded delivery. (always do)
person emailed me asking where is it.
emailed back with a tracking number,
checked on site as well, the result was no-one was there to sign item/left card.
person emailed me today asking for refund!
SO NOW its my fault cos postie went at a time they weren't there.

Tell them to phone the sorting office - they can either arrange to collect it, or for about 50p can have it delivered to their nearest post office to get it from there.
If its being returned to you, then you can ask them to send the money to cover reposting it, or you can resend as a goodwill act.
Dont necessarily believe that the postman left a card though as a lot of them just cant be ar5ed and dont bother.

Our postman couldn't be arsed to post (i.e. carry) a small parcel my wife was expecting, and hid the "I tried to contact you, but you weren't in" card in amongst the other letters.
Pity my wife was on a day off and immediately picked up the letters... straight out the door "where's the parcel then?"
Ummm.....

Our postman drove to our house in his own car before his round on Saturday morning to deliver a parcel, because he thought we might be out later in the day. Now that's what I call customer service ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
I have no connection with the Post Office, nor do any of my relatives etc.
