I sold an item on ebay at the weekend, a request for the invoice arrived within 5 mins and was duly sent.
today i receive a mail stalling and saying payment will be made shortly??
what do you determine to be an acceptable amount of time...
if it was me, payment is usually made within 2hrs of the auction closing regardless of the time

Depends on how they're paying - if they're posting a cheque then they cant do it within two hours at the weekend.
I'd say 7 days maximum, after which you can open an Unpaid Item Dispute which usually 'reminds' people they havent paid yet.

Ive resent the invoice and replied to the mail...
if they didnt want it or cant afford it, why bid ffs
and it wasnt as if it was a bid early on, it was whacked in just before the aution closed..
