Ipods, do they have a reset switch?

Problem with my Ipod and its hacking me off.
The screen has frozen and even if I switch it off (holding down the play/pause button) the screen stays the same.
Curiously enough the thing still works, but thats only due to me knowing where on my songs I am and how to use it without looking at the screen. Volume, track advance, and scan through tracks all work, just not the screen.
Anyone know if there is a reset switch on this thing that cuts the power? atm I've got it at max volume to deaden the battery
cheers in advance,
astraboy.

Thats not quite right. For 4G, 5G mini and nano iPods you need to toggle the hold switch on and off and then hold down Menu and Select for about 10secs until the Apple logo is displayed.
For 3G you do the hold toggle and then play and menu at the same time for about 10secs, you may need to do this again until it works.
