On the news last night !!!

A panel of experts investigating the cause are Almost certain the cause was Petrol Vapour, Mixing with Air & Igniting

Looks like these pros are worth every penny to me

Their reccommendations to include no smoking, barbeques or flamer kits on employee vehicles and no mixing of air and fuel and deffo no vapour - ever!

Other options include removing all the fuels/oils from site but this was considered a bit radical and may impact on the business

Buying shed loads of 'no smoking' signs

mixing the petrol/fuel with water and foam 'cause it seemed to put it out when the men in the big red trucks with the loud sirens turned up and squirted it at the fire!

How can they say that was the cause?? if that had been on a report submitted to me, i,d have bounced it back.

that was the failure mode, not the cause, the cause will be what (caused the the petrol vapour to be present, and the source of ignition)

that would then be the root cause.

bloody hell anyone with half a brain could have issued a statement like that

LOL No, they are still investigating, That's what Defo caused the explosion though !!
They say it will be very difficult to determine what actually started / ignited it, because of the sheer devastation of the site !!
