Thanks for your help!

what headphones are they for??
in ear? over ear? flat to ear? deep cups?
if they are a reputable brand, senheisser etc, replacements will be available from them,
alternitivly a 99p market job would suffice, just swap the pads over

Thanks guys - a little more explanation needed methinks! Sorry.
it's for work, not personal use. We need to give a bunch of people the ability to work at computers next to each other in the same room. They'll be working with CD ROMS that have audio content - hence the need for headphones.
There's loads of different ones on the market - and we were wondering if you could buy a basic set but with lots of spongy bits so that people could have their own set. We'd give them antiseptic wipes to clean the main bit - and then pop your own sponges over the top.
Hope that makes sense.

Why the worry??
if you go to any major hifi store, they have headphones for you to listen to tracks, no one ever complains about who,s been listening before,
just place the headphones out, and let them get on with it.
dont take this the wrong way, but it sounds like a bit of nanny strings from either H&S or HR
just tell them to go to hmv or similar.. and see for themselves

Yes it is for H&S considerations - and as I work for a firm of solicitors I think it's best to stick to the policies.....

As to your question,i've never seen them for sale, maybe because each pair of headphones is a separate design.

As the H*S rep to do a risk assesment and provide data to substantiate the unfounded concerns,
I would hazard a good guess that no one ahs died from wearing old headphones,
what concerns does they have apart from cotton wool in the middle bi![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
