I'd give it another month or so yet - ideally you dont want hard frosts on new grass plants...if they germinate at all - its prob still a bit too cold.
The best time is just as it is warming up (mid to end of march), let the april showers keep it moist....

I wouldn't bother with seed - just buy rolls of turf, lay it, water it, don't walk on it for a bit, and you will have a lawn in no time at all.
Seed just feeds the birds![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

You need to start soon to get a proper lawn for the summer. I would aerate it now (these are good ) and treat it with armillatox. Leave it to work for a week and then scarify it. Feed it with Scotts Lawnbuilder. In the middle of March, mix fine gravel, sharp sand and lawn seed and cover the entire lawn in about 1 cm depth of the mix. Any existing strong grass you have should grow through this in about a week. The new grass will show soon after and you should have a fine lawn by the end of April. Cut it a minimum of once a week and feed it once a month. Retreat with armillatox in late October and you should have no problems with patchiness next year
