Anyone been to Sardinia?
Just after a cheap holiday end of august/sept. What is the weather like that time of year and what are the beaches like?
Just looking for self catering villa/apartment nr the beach to chill out and get a tan.

Yep, went for the rally de Corse and stayed in Alghero for a couple of nights either end of the holiday.
Alghero has nice beaches itself, but isn't cheap. I don't think anywhere in Italy is cheap.... Weather was changeable but it was October. It was warm enough for us to go to the beach twice while there though.
Don't know about any of the other areas in Sardinia though.
