Default SP30 9 months after passing test - implications?

My colleagues son has just got a NIP through for an SP30 offence, 9 months after passing his test. Will there be any further implications apart from the 3 points and a £60 fine?

Thanks

Dont believe so (it won't even affect his insurance).

Not double points but if he gets 6 points in the first two years after gaining his licence, it gets revoked and he has to pass both theory and practical tests again.....

See here

He'll be on 9 points effectively till his 2 year "probationary period" is up....

He'll just need to walk a tight-rope for the next 15 months.
