Question Glasses Guide Holders ....

Could I have a Retail Price of the following, pleeeeeeeze:-

Mazda MX5 Montana

2002/52 in Garnet Red

50,000 miles - average condition

The Part Ex price and Private Deal price would be handy too ..... the usual valuation sites I use (including Glasses doesn't list this car, only 250 were made)

Cheers

Pete

Yeah, I know, I found that .... I guess that an adjustment of £50 per 1,000miles would be right?? You reckon??

So, that would make the Dealer price (Mazda Dealer) price should be about £8400??

But a price from anyone with the book that the dealer will have in his pocket would be useful, so we are singing from the same hymnsheet??

Pete, cross reference a standard MX-5 price for same year and miles on Parkers and Glass', then compare the Montana Parkers price, and interpolate for an approximate Glass' price

Yeah, Parkers say the Montana is 15% over the price of a standard car - but, it still will not adjust for mileage .....

Without paying, that is!!

Glass' will though Stick in average mileage first for a standard MX-5, then put in the mileage for the one you are looking at and check the differences. I'm sure you can get a rough idea in a roundabout way

Glass's Guide does not list the prices of the Montana either

It recognises the model but does not show a price .

Ah, I see ... sorry about that - so, how would a dealer price it then??

Would he take the lowest spec and add 15% like Parkers say??

To be fair i dont really use the guide anymore.... just look at how much the others are selling for and guage it from there

I think the car is £8495 to sell meaning i would look to buy at around £7k, looking to get around £8 to £8200 when sold

Hope this helps.

Think MAC76 is pretty much spot on, £7k for trade and £8-£8.5k retail.

News from an inside source at Mazda tell me that there will be a Limited edition of the new model out shortly

It will be the Brokeback Mountain and will be avaliable in a range of colours with leather interior, his and his matching leather chaps to compliment the interior, washable gearknob and a complimentary Village People greatest hits cd.

This might be the one for you sir!

Come on Pete - for an ex-nuclear scientist with millions in the bank surely you can pay the £2.95 to find out how much your hair dryer is worth .

They are the kind of numbers I have come up with .... the mazda Main Dealer reckons he might put it up for £10k and talk around the high £9ks!!

He will have a job selling such a high miler of a car which is commonly found with very low miles - I think (But this Whites Group are ALWAYS stupidly high with their prices).

I reckon a screen price of £8495 would be fair and to haggle to £8000? But life isn't fair and Mazda dealers, when selling MX5s, are NOT fair!
