Would you employ someone with bad teeth ??
Well would you ??
Just been interviewing this morning for a supervisory role within one of the branches & we had 7 applicants all turn up in various guises.
The youngest out of the range was possibly the smartest, the best qualified & probably the best person for the role but lacks experience.
The other main candidate has the most experience, was kinda well dressed & was a bit more stable than the young guy but ....................... his teeth were fcukin rotten. I mean they were brown as if he had been eating ****e before he came in & there was various ones missing
So bearing in mind that i will have to look at this guy once every two weeks do you think that i should let my business mind over rule my snobbery & employ the guy with the rotten teeth or do you think i should go for image & employ the young guy ??
Lets see what SN decides

Give the young guy a go and give him extra support due to his lack of experience.
Or if the job does not involve facing the public, give it the best qualified.
In the public sector it would be a no-brainer. You would have a points system at interview and even if you knew one of them would be better, if the other one interviewed better and got more points, you'd have to offer it to them. It's happened to me before!!!
Whatever you do, word your rejection letter carefully. You would not want to be seen to be discrimating against someone because of their appearance....

Does this guy have to face customers or public? If not I dont see the problem but Id choose the young guy either way. You only get experience if your given a chance by a company

If its not a client facing role, then bad teeth arent going to be a problem. If hes going to do a better job than the others then....
You could always employ him and drop some hints "did I mention we offer FREE dental care?" "Have you seen how cheap dentures are these days?"

I must have a form of Tourettes.Whenever I am staring at someone like Mr no teeth/brown teeth I tend to say exactly what I shouldnt
'Morning.Strike a light what bad teeth you have you will never get a job here'
Anyway.Choose ugly.Makes you look like Mr Steradent
