Angry I detest that Sheila's Wheels advert...

On that basis, I would never insure my car with them.

If you rang up as a bloke and they refused to insure you because your a bloke can you take them to court for being sexist?

I think one of you guys should get a quote.

My reply was that they 'don't insure that type of vehicle'

(Men can still get quotes from the companies aimed at women)

Of course you could. Whether you would actually win, and whether winning might make it a worthwhile use of your time and energies is another thing entirely.

I love CSI - however it is unwatchable on Living because there is a bloody Shiela's Wheels ident at the start and end of every break.

It is like aversion therapy!!

Run by the Bank of Scotland (eSure) if you are interested.

You would not win - it is an area that legally you can discriminate between men and women and the underwriting criteria are different.

Of course they may offer to quote you with a very silly large number - the outcome is the same - they do not have to offer you business on what you may regard as reasonable terms!

Because they attract the mucky looking mares aout there, like the one in the new Fiesta ad, where she runs away from her wedding................she's attracted to the NEW Fiesta as it's brighter coloured, and MP3 ready.

Even with my low opinion of most women drivers, THAT'S insulting

Just from looking at the sheilas wheels ad, I guess they only want to insure women who speed and read maps whilst driving

Oh and the MP3 ready Fiesta >> The MP3 bit is an optional extra !

Yep, indeed very annoying and another example of white, heterosexual males being discriminated against, we are just not on the landscape these days, I mean do you remember all the aggro about the Yorkie ad, 'its not for girls'.

How does Shiela cope with named drivers who happen to have a ***** ?

It does make me laugh, women want equality across the board unless it involves paying extra for car insurance, doing anything involving dirt danger or 8 legged creatures, oh and when the equal pays comes up the government says, well you can work until you are 65 like blokes do (are meant to, notwithstanding 2 million on incapacity doing building work) they said, oh bollocks that went wrong didnt it !

Perhaps there is a market for 'Bruce's Wheels' ?

driving with no hands in the advert....reminds me of an earlier incident this week with the girl putting makeup on while driving at 32mph.

Arghhh!!!........that advert ,we switch the sound off every time it comes on which is at every advert break on some sky channels. i would really like to see the three munters coming to a grisly end maybe getting side swiped by one of them big roadtrains or even over a cliff or meeting a serial killer who would torture them and murder them (yeah.serial killer sounds good)

There speaks the archetypal trucker.

Do you have rolls of carpet in the back, by any chance?

it is quite worrying that the women in the ad are driving backwards whilst paying no attention whatsoever to what's behind them. not that i've studied it too much of course.
