Looks like it is well designed with the building and commissioning really taken into account by the design engineers. I appreciate this as the sort of things I work on everyday are the exact opposite!
I didn't realise Airfix done kits that big!
I wouldn't like to be the lorry driver transporting a wing if the weather got a bit windy!

Very impressive!
Surely its going to be limited to landing at only a handfull of UK airports tho being so huge?
The Americans will probably ban it from landing in the US as its European (just like they did with Concorde, which was only allowed to land at a couple of airports there)

The build process seems very inefficient compared to Boeing!
I know its all to do with the EU and government contracts and back room big money deals - still seems bizzarre when you see it played out in a film like that!

In effect, Boeing, like Airbus also build multiple sub-assemblies, which are produced at multiple sites then shipped and assembled at singular location. The only difference is the distance between sites where the majority of sub assemblies are manufactured.
I suppose it depends on the cost of transportation vs cost of centralised labour.
Never ever thought aviation could be considered as a foot-loose industry

As for the States, no comparison with Concorde, i know LAX is ready for it, suspect JFK is too.

It was designed to fit in a standard "box" dimension - length, wingspan, height, u/c track etc and is able to land at most international airports. There has to be some taxiway and ramp upgrading at some airports. The two critical dimensions are wingspan, which it gets inside by around a metre, and the outboard pair of engines hang over the edges of the runway on some narrower strips

There certaily has. Its cost us ( LHR ) £450 million, just to make the airport ready for the big beastie
I would not buy a new huge car, then expect the council to make all my local roads bigger so I could drive it out of my street - or am I missing something here?

It'll never beat SSC though, fully loaded it used to scrape the roof when taking off whilst also rearranging your internal organs
p.s. what did they do for £450m ??, apart from the ramps taxiways and runway I cant think of anything else that needed upgrading, must have been Multiplex at those prices

The rest of the infrastructure has to be upgraded to support it as well, otherwise you'll have nearly three thousand people with nowhere to go.
