Default Ebay - Private Bidders

Ive got a car for sale on ebay. Ive had a private bidder place a bid on the car, but feel quite uneasy about this, and since he's bid everyone else has stopped.
Why would you want to make your bidding history private ? unless of course its got loads of negative ?

Ive cancelled his bid

He's probably been buying lots of **** and doesn't want anyone to know! That's my reason anyway

I've always thought private bidders were likely to be shill bids (ie. the seller bidding from another account to push the price up). That's probably why no-one else is bidding. Cancelling his bid is probably the right thing to do.

agree they are hiding something no other reason unless you are selling a 355 and the guy has bid £70K and doesnt want people to know where he is and what he's bought, otherwise dodgy!

You can still see how many -ve's people have had even if they make it private. They probably do it to stop nosey buggers like you lot seeing what they've bought.

Well if I am buying something I *need* to know what their feedback is and if its an expensive item can hopefully make an informed decision. That noseyness could pay off!
