sorry i was watching friends.
I suppose it just eases the pain there going thru. It must be really hard losing loved ones in this way. But nothing can ease that pain not even money.

That said I agree about the money for repatriation of stiffs/compo etc. If I go away I pay for insurance. If someone chooses not to pay for insurance and their car is stolen then tough. Same goes for body bags. You pays your money you takes your chance

Fast Bloke ..... you miss the point entirely about the car thing (the richest people I know drive old bangers!!) why?? because cars are a waste of dosh!
Anyway, thanks for agreeing that Insurance should take care of repatriation etc.
Why should any Tax Payer have to pay for those stupid enough to travel without adequate cover?? Also, you may notice that some of these people (the parents shown on the program) have rather nice houses ..... to say they need financial help is utter nonesense!!
What they should say is that they don't wish to pay out of their own pockets!!! And thats where the truth lies!!

...no new car = more tax to pay for scroungers and people with no travel insurance. Which brings me nicely to life insurance. The only reason these people went traveling without an appropiate life policy placed in trust is that the must believe they have insured their lives for what it is worth........ exactly nothing
