I'm looking for a bit of information about (watertube)boiler furnace inspections and can't find any decent information on the subject. Can anyone help me out?
I have so far (quickly)..
Tube Condition - pitting/corrosion/flame impingement
Slag build up
anything particular on the uptake and air register?
Also safety valve construction... Monel Metal housing with a stainless steel spindle? Is the tell tale hole to let water drain out the line, or indicate a leaky valve... or both?
I know this is a strange place to post this but scoobynet is a remarkable source on information!
Cheers
Dave

Yes, plenty of agencies and info on construction and running, other inspections but nothing on furnace inspections....
Very odd. Google has let me down! As have a good few boiler books...
