Strange headaches (embarrased)
Hello,
Calling any doc's on here !
Bit erm of an embarrasing one this one...
How can I put it.....
Before I *** I get massive headaches, headaches like you could not believe. Totally disabling. The extreme pain only lasts for 10 mins or so, but during that time I can't make the pain stop quick enough.
I was in Spain at the weekend with me lass, and if I could have jumped out of the window head first to make the pain stop then that would have been a viable option.
Also more worrying is that I had nose bleeds around a couple of hours later. Now I haven't had any nose bleed in years and years, but to have a couple of serious headaches and nosebleeds in relatively quick succession lets just say that it's "praying on my mind" quite a lot.
Gonna book an appointment today to get an opinion..... but as you can guess despite the embarassment I thought I'd post on here.
Any ideas.... ?
Cheers
BS
(SERIOUSLY concerned)

but..
I had exactly the same thing when I was around 25 years old....
It was in the middle of a moderately huge nervous breakdown and I just put it down to extreme tension in the old head ..... the one on my shoulders
All better now on all fronts and at 36 I'm still alive
Get it checked out

I have been having massive headaches regular as clockwork once or twice a week for 20 years... i have had scans/tests you name it they have done it and they have no idea whats wrong
I just have to lay in a dark room for a couple of hours and take paracetamol and it goes away.
I have to say tho that the nose bleeds after would worry me!
Go to the doctors, they were pretty good when i went and they did try everything to find out what it was
Good luck

it actually sounds like high blood pressure to me, again I am no doctor, but nose bleeds and head aches can be due to blood pressure, lets be fair when your about to ***, theres a fair amount of pressure and strain on your body.
dont mess about get yourself to the doctors, dont be shy and explain exactly as you have to us.
high blood pressure is easily helped with prescription medication.

High BP eh ? yeah could be, that actually sounds reasonable
About this time last year I was on a BP monitor for 24h, and it averaged out as 140/80 during the day and 110/60 at night.
The quacks deduced that it wasn't too bad, but since then life has gone mental working regularly 80 or so hours a week hence the trip to Spain at the last minute the other week to try and avoid a complete breakdown.

The second type is the "new onset" severe headache during sex. This is a first time headache, which the patient generally characterizes as the worst headache of their life. This type of sex headache is a serious emergency until proven otherwise. Such a headache is often due to an acute brain hemorrhage or other serious condition. Fortunately, this type of first onset headache is fairly unusual, but when it does occur it can represent a life threatening emergency which requires emergency evaluation and treatment

Its called Orgasmic Cephalgia
And I've suffered from it 3 times now over the last 2 years or so, the last one being last weekend.
I feel for ya, the pain is unreal and my headache lasted 8 hours - its worse than any hangover, and the speed with which it arrives is unreal.
No point going the docs, there isn't much they can do.

kammy, might be a female doctor who is willing to be piledriven by a guy with electrodes on his head!!!
- you never know.
....althought being realistic, its quite unlikely...
....or they'd be a queue of scoobynetters complaining of similar disorders.
...god, where do i get my imagination from? - i could give Danielle Steel a run for her money!!
