Just bought a new pc mouse....
To open up and rob for parts.....
my old hp mouse has developed a duff scroll wheel, so i went to buy a new one,
typically loads of mice, but all for people with huge hands or long fingers!!!
i coulnt reach the scrollwheel..
so i paid for a new scrollmouse and robbed it of components, one scrollwhell and its carrier, a quick unsolder and resolder and bobs your, and ive got some spare microswitches, an usb converter and an ir reciever to play around with..
and no i wont be taking the new one back honest
anyone else done this rather than junk old stuff

So, exactly how small and girl-like are your hands? Even my arthritic mother-in-law can easliy use a £5 Microsoft Intellimouse. Not worth the hassle of taking one apart for that money.

so hey ho my grammer isnt the best of it, but given that we live in the 21st century and we have technology, i blame the webby for not implementing spell checking

your on the right lines.
however i keep my wrist on the mouse mat (less stress) and the mouse sits comfortably in my palm.
but if the mouse has a high hump or curved shape, then my fingers dont reach the scroll wheel, or ar able to press the buttons its not large hands either is finger length as well i only have short fingers..

Trying to work out which is funnier - the original question or the answers.
This must be the most **** question with the most **** answers ever.
Cheers Mart & everyone else.
ps -must ask our resident geek if he's ever dismantled a mouse for spares when he gets in !
pps - Geek's arrived - you're not alone
