Thumbs down ADMIT ITS ****....

i will start this off...

i bought the Road Angel Navigator and its pants. tomorrow i will change it for the Tomtom 700

the RA has loads of faults and hardly any features to make it worth buying. the tomtom has got to be the best on the market and the camera detector is free

Most shops have a no return policy on GPS based systems which need to be registered. Unless it's a very forgiving shop, I imagine that they will say that you can't switch.

tomtoms are too chunky, remember you want to take it out of the car. Ive got a navman, no problems, good price, easy to use.

pete its a Road Angel sat nav

i returned the unit the day after i got it cos it wasnt working. now the screen freezes, you and you have to stop, take the unit out of its cradle fiddle with the smallest switch in the world and switch it back on. plus it doesnt use blue tooth.they will give me a full refund as the unit is faulty...again. its more expensive than the tomtom so i can get drunk as well
the RA takes ages to pick up your location

the downside is that my RA sat nav is very small and feminine where as the tom tom is a huge fat lump

next time i might read more about a product before i buy it

Tom Tom One is very slim and is much better than the original. Also has the facility for speed camera sites.

Depends upon wether or not you need the european maps and phone prep, what the hell is the use of a remote control if you have that in your hand you might as well be touching the screen!!!!!
